With work rates of up to 20 hectares per hour per drone, we can cover large areas quickly within tight application windows. Applying fertiliser at the optimum timing helps maximise nutrient uptake, improve crop health, and increase overall yield potential.

The drone’s rotor downwash also helps improve canopy penetration and provides a more even distribution throughout the crop, ensuring nutrients reach lower leaf layers more effectively than some conventional application methods. As the drones fly directly over the crop, there is no wheel damage, soil compaction, or crop flattening caused by heavy machinery, helping to preserve both soil structure and crop quality.

Drone fertiliser application is particularly beneficial during wet conditions when traditional machinery cannot travel or when the crop is to tall like a late stage maize allowing applications to continue without delays and ensuring crops receive nutrients precisely when required.

Pod Sealent/Stick

Pod sealant application is an effective way to help protect oilseed rape crops against pod shatter and seed loss, particularly during periods of adverse weather or delayed harvests. Using our drone application service allows treatments to be applied quickly and accurately without causing any damage to the standing crop.

The downwash created by the drone rotors provides improved canopy penetration and helps achieve better coverage across the crop, including the underside of the pods where thorough application is essential for maximum effectiveness. This results in a more even and consistent application compared with conventional methods.

By flying directly over the crop, we can apply pod sealant accurately while avoiding wheelings, tramline damage, and unnecessary crop losses associated with ground equipment. This helps protect yield potential and maintain crop quality right through to harvest.
